But There's More to Life Than Being Smart

An Indiana University study concludes that having children significantly lowers
parents' IQs
. Well, guess I wasn't just imagining things then.
I'm waiting for the follow up studies to see if the loss of intelligence is reversible once the children grow up and if having more children causes even greater losses.

I wonder if as a control the people that conducted this study compared the parents' results to a group of single people that had been sleep-deprived for months on end. Couldn't their IQ test results have been lowered by incidental effects?

heh, I posted almost the exact same comment on Robert Brady's (pureland.blogspot.com) blog yesterday! And I see someone over there said the source of the story and the "study" was a spoof. Go figure.
