The Cure

I'm going to the library. I need a good book to lose myself in.

"The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is good. Or "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger.

Better yet, sit home on your butt and order them from half.com. I'm too lazy to go to the library. Half.com is easy and cheap, and when I'm done I resell them on half.com again.

I swear I don't work for them or anything, I'm just offering my humble advice.

As for books, how about The Long Rain by Peter Gadol.

Thanks for the book suggestions. I always get overwhelmed by the wealth of choices at the library. really. I ended up getting "I am Charlotte Simmons" by Tom Wolfe. Some of the details are dorky and wrong (her roomate brings a fax machine?), but he's usually entertaining and it's a huge book, so I should be set for a week or two.
I was just looking on half.com for textbooks. I'm probably too cheap and too impatient to use half.com for leisure reading but if I ever get my shit together enough to think about what I might want to read in advance I might try it. Or maybe when the snow and cold come back.
